Read the following text and answer the question.

Polar bears are found in the frozen wilds of the Arctic, in Canada, Alaska (US), Greenland, Russia, and Norway. These are seriously big bears, gang. Adult polar bears can measure over 2.5 m long and weigh around 680 kg. Their huge size and weight make them the largest living carnivores (meat-eaters) on Earth.

Polar bears are distinctly different from other bears. They communicate through body language, vocalizations, and scent markings. Here are some ways how polar bears communicate with other bears.

  1. Head wagging from side to side: A sign that polar bears want to play. Adult bears initiate play—which is actually ritualized fighting or mock battling—by standing on their hind legs, chin lowered to their chests, with front paws hanging by their sides.
  2. Nose-to-nose greetings: How a bear asks another bear for something, such as food. The guest bear will approach slowly, circle around a carcass, then meekly touch the feeding bear's nose.
  3. Chuffing: A vocal response to stress, often heard when a mother bear is worried for her cubs' safety.
  4. Rushing: When a male approaches a female with cubs, she rushes toward him with her head lowered.

Sadly, these incredible creatures are classified as "vulnerable". The biggest threat to polar bears is climate change.
